Budgeting for Creatives

This service is designed for creatives, artists, and small business owners who want a clear, realistic budget they can actually use—without overcomplicating the process or relying on generic templates that don’t reflect how creative income really works.

Budgeting support focuses on understanding where your money is going, how much to set aside for taxes and irregular expenses, and how to plan for both slow and strong months with confidence.

What This Service Includes

Depending on your needs, budgeting services may include:

  • Review of current income sources and expense patterns

Software & Records

Budgeting services can be provided using your existing accounting software or spreadsheets, depending on the scope of the engagement. Ongoing accountant access is not required unless budgeting is paired with bookkeeping or advisory services.

Estimated Time Commitment

Most budgeting engagements require approximately 1–3 hours, depending on the complexity of the business, number of income streams, and condition of existing records.

Billing Structure

Budgeting services are billed at an hourly rate of $160 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. After the first hour, time is billed in 10-minute increments. An initial one-hour retainer is required to secure your place on my schedule and is applied to your first invoice.

Time estimates are provided for planning purposes only and are not guarantees. Any additional work requested beyond the initial scope will be discussed in advance when possible.

All services, scope of work, and billing terms will be confirmed in a formal engagement letter prior to the start of work.
